1、Module 5 Great People and Great Inventions of Ancient China I. 教學內(nèi)容分析 本模塊以“Great People and Great Inventions of Ancient China”為話題，介紹了中國古代的三位哲學家、他們的學說以及五項重要的古代發(fā)明。通過本模塊的學習，使學生掌握與話題有關(guān)的詞匯、句型及語法，提高閱讀能力和口語表達能力，并能運用所學知識，闡述自己對人或事物的看法及觀點。同時，通過本模塊學習培養(yǎng)學生的文化意識，增強民族自豪感。 Introduction通過詞匯練習，簡要介紹中國古代思想家及

2、他們的思想，為本模塊的學習特別是“閱讀”做準備。該部分共有四個活動，第一個活動學習單詞，其余三個活動幫助學生鞏固記憶，學習使用所學單詞。 Reading and Vocabulary課文部分介紹了中國古代三位思想家及其學說，圍繞課文教學，教材設計了四個與課文內(nèi)容和詞匯有關(guān)的練習。第一、第二個練習，幫助學生理解詞匯在語境中的意義。第三個練習，幫助學生理解課文內(nèi)容、捕捉細節(jié)信息。第四部分，和Introduction部分第二個練習呼應，幫助學生把握孔子的思想。通過這些練習，幫助學生熟悉課文、學會使用與課文有關(guān)的詞匯、句型，并能夠?qū)θ宋镞M行簡要介紹。 Grammar 1該部分介紹了有關(guān)系詞wher

3、e, when, whose, who, which 引導的定語從句。教材安排了四個練習活動：前兩個活動通過觀察、理解課文中的例句，幫助學生認識定語從句，理清概念；第三、四個活動提供學生練習的機會，幫助學生在運用中把知識轉(zhuǎn)化為能力。 Function該部分介紹了交際功能“陳述理由”（giving reasons）的語句，有兩部分，第一部分，要求學生認識句型結(jié)構(gòu)。第二部分，通過改寫練習，使學生對兩個句型初步掌握。兩種相關(guān)句型是： 1) I like reading about ancient China because the philosophy is very interesting.

4、 2) The reason why I like reading about ancient China is that the philosophy is very interesting. Vocabulary and Speaking通過該部分練習學習一組有關(guān)社會道德方面的詞匯，對學生進行說的訓練的同時滲透道德教育，使他們學會表達自己的觀點并闡述理由。 Pronunciation該部分介紹了連讀的一種現(xiàn)象：前一個詞的尾元音與后一個詞的首元音跨越字界，緊密依靠產(chǎn)生近似 / j /或者/ w / 那樣的音質(zhì)。要求學生聽錄音，認識這種現(xiàn)象，然后進行朗讀模仿。通過該部分練習幫助學生提高辨音

5、能力及口語表達能力。 Listening and Vocabulary通過聽有關(guān)“中國古代發(fā)明”一段材料，培養(yǎng)學生利用現(xiàn)有信息對所聽內(nèi)容進行預測的能力、準確獲取信息的能力，并完成相關(guān)練習。 Speaking該部分是Listening and Vocabulary 的一個延伸，通過談論20世紀的有關(guān)發(fā)明，對模塊內(nèi)容進行拓展，鍛煉學生的口頭表達能力。 Grammar 2該部分學習“介詞+ which / whom”引導的定語從句。共有四個部分，前兩個活動通過連線、比較幫助學生認識這種語法現(xiàn)象，后兩個活動為鞏固性練習，分別進行了仿寫和改寫練習。 Writing通過完成相關(guān)練習，幫助學生初步認
