1、 Module 7 Time off 一、 題材內(nèi)容 本模塊話題是“旅游和休假”。通過對(duì)北海公園、武陵園景區(qū)的介紹和作者旅游經(jīng)歷的描述,激發(fā)學(xué)生對(duì)大自然的熱愛,陶冶情操,同時(shí)喚起學(xué)生的保護(hù)環(huán)境意識(shí)。而且在語境中很自然地體驗(yàn)本單元的語法項(xiàng)目“轉(zhuǎn)述現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時(shí)、疑問句和祈使句”。本模塊緊緊圍繞“旅游和休假””這一主題展開多方面的聽、說、讀、寫的語言實(shí)踐活動(dòng),使學(xué)生由簡(jiǎn)單到復(fù)雜,漸漸感知新的語言,并通過范例,引導(dǎo)學(xué)生總結(jié)、歸納,掌握完整的語法知識(shí)。教學(xué)中教師應(yīng)隨時(shí)隨地以課本為出發(fā)點(diǎn),靈活利用各種素材,增加一些開放性的活動(dòng),把話題再擴(kuò)展一些,讓學(xué)生靈活地掌握直接引語和間接引語。 教學(xué)目標(biāo) 1)
2、 語言知識(shí): 語音 能夠了解連讀的規(guī)則。 詞匯 off, hardly, cross, whole, phone, myself, rock, soldier, area, wake, tent, cable, view, top, path, waterfall, plant, pull 詞組 wake up 語法 能夠利用直接引語和間接引語轉(zhuǎn)述現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時(shí)的陳述句、疑問句和祈使句。 功能 能夠轉(zhuǎn)述他人的話語。 話題 以“旅游和休假”為話題。 2) 語言技能: 聽 能聽懂別人對(duì)旅游和休假的對(duì)話或文段; 能抓住聽力材料的中心和細(xì)節(jié)信息。 - 1 - / 21
3、 說 能夠根據(jù)情景正確轉(zhuǎn)述別人的表示疑問的指令或建議的語句。流利的說出含有本模塊生詞、短語。 讀 能讀懂介紹旅游景點(diǎn)和旅游經(jīng)歷的文章,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生預(yù)測(cè)下文和獲取細(xì)節(jié)信息的能力。 寫 能夠根據(jù)所給事實(shí)性或描述性信息介紹武陵園國家風(fēng)景區(qū)。 演示與表達(dá) 能敘述自己的旅游經(jīng)歷。 3)學(xué)習(xí)策略 學(xué)習(xí)一定程度形成自主學(xué)習(xí),有效交際、信息處理、英語思維能力。 認(rèn)知 聯(lián)系,歸納,推測(cè)等技能。觀察并歸納直接引語變間接引語的變化規(guī)則,提高自學(xué)能力。 調(diào)控 從同伴處得到反饋,對(duì)自己在敘述及作文中的錯(cuò)誤進(jìn)行修改 交際 學(xué)習(xí)運(yùn)用恰當(dāng)詞語介紹旅游和休假情況。 資源 通過其他資源獲取更多
4、有關(guān)“旅游和休假”的簡(jiǎn)單英語。 自學(xué)策略 能夠歸納和整理英語與漢語在書信格式上的差異。 合作學(xué)習(xí)策略 互相學(xué)習(xí),取長補(bǔ)短,注意學(xué)習(xí)策略共享。 4)文化意識(shí): 中外對(duì)比 通過對(duì)中國和世界自然風(fēng)景區(qū)的了解,增強(qiáng)學(xué)生的環(huán)保意識(shí),了解外國政府在保護(hù)環(huán)境方面所做的努力。 5)情感態(tài)度: 培養(yǎng)學(xué)生對(duì)祖國大好河山的熱愛,激發(fā)建設(shè)祖國的熱情。參加各種英語活動(dòng),克服困難,在新環(huán)境中進(jìn)一步樹立準(zhǔn)確的語言學(xué)習(xí)觀。 6)任務(wù):能將自己的旅游見聞和感受寫出來做成宣傳單進(jìn)行展示。 二、 教學(xué)重點(diǎn)和難點(diǎn) 重點(diǎn):1.掌握介紹“旅游和休假”的基本詞匯,能夠敘述自己的旅游經(jīng)歷,讀懂含有直接引語和
5、間接引語的句子。 難點(diǎn):正確運(yùn)用直接引語和間接引語。 三、 教學(xué)方法 基于課程改革的理念及“第二語言習(xí)得論”,培養(yǎng)實(shí)現(xiàn)人的可持續(xù)發(fā)展和人的主體精神的自我完善和發(fā)展所必需的能力和素質(zhì),運(yùn)用任務(wù)型教學(xué)途徑,圍繞核心任務(wù),設(shè)定小任務(wù),開展和諧愉悅的課堂活動(dòng),強(qiáng)調(diào)興趣第一的原則,初步設(shè)計(jì)“P—T—P”自主學(xué)習(xí)立體模式:pre-task…task-cycle…post-task。 四、 教材處理 核心任務(wù):能夠運(yùn)用所學(xué)句型結(jié)構(gòu)介紹“旅游和休假”。三個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)如下: pre-task:學(xué)生聯(lián)系生活實(shí)際,激活背景知識(shí),。 task –cycle:通過整個(gè)模塊的聽說讀寫的訓(xùn)練,強(qiáng)化對(duì)““旅游
6、和休假””的表達(dá)能力,為完成任務(wù)做好鋪墊 post-task:達(dá)成任務(wù),展示成果,反饋學(xué)習(xí)情況 五、 教材安排 根據(jù)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)英語的特點(diǎn)和規(guī)律,我們把本模塊劃分為4課時(shí): Period 1: Listening and Vocabulary & Pronunciation and Speaking Period 2 Vocabulary and Reading Period 3. Language in use Period 4. Writing& Around the world &Module Task 注:教學(xué)時(shí)應(yīng)根據(jù)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)水平、生活實(shí)際水平、接受程度及課堂出現(xiàn)的臨時(shí)
7、狀況進(jìn)行運(yùn)用、調(diào)整及篩選。 六、 『教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)』 七、 Title: Module 7 Time off Period 1 Listening and Vocabulary and Pronunciation and Speaking Teaching Content : Listening and Vocabulary and Pronunciation and Speaking Teaching Aims and Demands: 1. Language Knowledge Key vocabulary and phrases: off, hardly, cross,
8、 whole, phone, myself Key structure: Direct and indirect speech (2) (難點(diǎn)) 2, Listening skill: To learn the topic words through listening and reading and use them to resolve problems. To get the main ideas of the listening material (重點(diǎn)) 3. Speaking skill: To report one or two situations h
9、appened before using indirect speech. Improve the students’ speaking ability. 4. Affection and attitudes: We should love our country. Learning strategies: Bottom –up approach and listening to the tape and do some exercises. Teaching Aids: Multi-Media (Tape recorder, video, OHP, handout) Teachin
10、g Procedures: Part I: Revision Task: Recall what we have learned in Module 6. Directions: Step one: Label the pictures with the phrases. (1). Read through the phrases in the box and have the Ss. Repeat them after you. (2).Ask them to label them in the pictures on the screen. (3).M
11、ake some sentences with the phrases. Ask students to speak out as many as they can. Step two: Talk about Entertainment. Eg. I like the Lion King very much. Did you like it? I like it because… If you didn’t see it when it first came out, I advise you to go and see it now. Ask students to speak o
12、ut as many as they can. Part II: Lead in: Task 1 : Introduce to them the new words . Directions: Step one: Read through the new words and phrases and have the Ss. repeat them after you chorally and individually. Step two: Ask the students to talk about the pictures on the screen. S
13、tep three: Collect some descriptions in a whole- class setting. Step four: Pair the Ss to discuss what else they know about Beihai Park. Step five: Collect any other information they can provide from them and list them on the board. Task 2: Introduce to them Beihai Park. Directions: S
14、tep one. The teacher can show them the video abut Beihai Park. Step two: Elicit their Chinese names from the Ss. and write them on the blackboard. Step three: Listen and answer the question in Activity 1 on page 56. Part III: Listening 1. Task:. To understand conversations about Beihai Pa
15、rk. Directions: Step one: Let the Ss read through the questions in Activity 2 on page 56. Make sure the Ss. understand the questions. Step two: Play the recording and have them listen. Step three: Play the recording again and have them write the answers individually. Step four: Play the rec
16、ording and have them check their answer with a partner. Step five: Call back the answer from the whole class. 2..Task: activity 4 on page 57. Directions: Step one: Play the recording again and have them choose the best answer in Activity 4. Have them check their answers with a partner Step
17、two: Play the recording again .Have them check their answers with a partner Step three: Call back the answer in a whole- class setting. 3. .Task: Listen and read: Directions: Step one: Play the recording and ask the Ss. to listen and read the conversation. Step two: Play the recording ag
18、ain and pause after each phrase, asking the Ss. to repeat chorally and individually. Step three: Put the Ss. into groups of 2 to practise the dialogue. Step four: They should repeat it several times, changing the roles each time. 4.Task: activity 5 on page 57. Directions: Step one: Read thro
19、ugh the words in the box with the Ss. Pay attention to the words “environment and protect”, which have the stress on the second syllable. Step two: Have them answer the questions in Activity 5. Step three: Call back the answers in a whole- class setting. Part IV: Pronunciation and Speaking Task
20、 1 : Listen and repeat the sentence Directions: Step one: Play the recording and ask the Ss. to listen to the sentences and repeat the sentences. Step two: Ask the Ss to make sure the link sounds. Play the recording again and have the Ss repeat chorally and individually. Step three: Pair them
21、to practise and sum up. Task 2 : Report who spoke to you, what they said, and what you said in a situations. Directions: Put the Ss into pairs. Do activity 7. If you wish, have some students tell the whole class. Part V: A test Listen to the tape and translate some of the sentences into

25、rally and individually. 2. Revise direct and indirect speech. Part II : Preparation Task: Learn the new words. Directions: Label the pictures with the words. (1). Read through the words in the box. Have the Ss. Repeat them after you. (2).Ss match the pictures with the words. (3). Call b
26、ack the answers from the whole class. (4) Show the Ss the videos of Wulingyuan Science and Historic Interest/ Zhangjiajie. Ask them “Do you know these places?” (5) Talk about the videos. Part III: Scanning and Skimming 1.Task: Read the passage and check your answers to Activity 2. Directions
