“介詞+關系代詞”引導的定語從句
Section_ⅣGrammar_&_Writing
一、基本用法
當關系代詞在定語從句中充當介詞的賓語時,我們用“介詞+關系代詞(whom或which)”引導定語從句。如果指人,用“介詞+whom”;如果指物,用“介詞+which”。介詞前置時,關系代詞不能用that或who,即介詞不與that或who連用。若介詞后置則可以用that/who,還可省略。
There comes Tom, for whom I have been waiting for an hour.
湯姆來了,我等他等了一個小時

He handed me a pen, with which I wrote down his phone number.

二、“介詞+關系代詞”結構中介詞的選用
一般來說,確定關系代詞前的介詞,可以從以下三方面入手:
1.先行詞的意義;
2.從句中的動詞或形容詞與先行詞的固定搭配;
3.句子的意思。

三、“介詞+關系代詞”的種類
1.介詞+which/whom

Ⅰ.用“介詞+which/whom”完成下列句子

如①③句分別運用了由which和who引導的定語從句,語意表達清晰明了;④句正確使用了so ...that ...句型,為文章增色不少;⑨句用助動詞do來進行強調,表達出作者想跟母親更親密的強烈愿望及渴望收信人幫助的急切心情。
如何寫征求建議的信件
征求建議的信件,一般分三個部分來寫:
1.首先說明自己的情況,寫信的目的;
2.第二步要講明自己面臨的困難和問題,要簡潔明晰;
3.請求對方給出建議,并且在信的結尾要向對方表示感謝。
1.自我介紹,征求建議:
