Step 1 Lead-in
Show a video about the background of elephants in Thailand to lea
6、d in the topic. And give Ss questions: Where are the elephants from? What’s the video about?
Purpose: arouse the Ss’ interests to talk.
I think interest is a powerful driving force to motivate the pupils to learn. It’s important to interest Ss at the beginning of the class, and it’s also necessar

Step 2 Pre-reading
Show some pictures about elephants and let Ss say out the key words and sentences “Elephants are in danger …We must save the elephants.”. Then read aloud in order to remember them.
Purpose: Before reading, th
8、e teacher should help Ss to get rid of some difficulties. They need to prepare in two aspects. One is the preparation of language points, the other is the preparation of topic.
