Designed by the famous designer Ken Kiyoyuki Okuyama, the Shiki-shima train offers passengers a cruise ship-like experien

Besides a dining car and a lounge car, the two observation cars at both ends are a highlight of the train, with large windows along the walls and roof and sofas that run the length of the car for passengers to relax and take in the mountain or coastal scenery. 18、Special Experience While the Seven Stars Cruise Train has a classic Orient Express look, the room interiors (內(nèi)部) of Shiki-shima have a modern Japanese design, using traditional wood materials and Japanese wash paper. The lounge car features sofas made with traditional bentwood—a technique of bendin

19、g wood with steam—and hand-crafted carpets. Unsurprisingly, the dining experience is special. French-trained chef Katsuhiro Nakamura, the first Japanese chef to receive a Michelin star, cooks with ingredients (食材) collected from stops along the train's route.
