Unit3 Fashion Uniform fashion good for young students (More Language Input)教案 一、 章節(jié)分析 (一)綜述 本章節(jié)是補充閱讀材料,對于學生校服從主觀和客觀的角度作了評價,主要表達了對這一現(xiàn)象的積極觀點。 本課的任務有兩個: 1 學生通過對課文的學習。掌握一些核心詞匯,例如:promote,comment, affect, drop, academic performance, complain, positive等。 2 通過學習課文,引導學生思考與他們密切相關的物品——校服。使學生對校服有一個全面的認識,從而進一步熟悉議論文的技巧。 (二)閱讀目標 1 知識目標 學習課文中重點詞、詞組、句型和語法。 2 能力目標 進一步提高學生的閱讀理解能力和培養(yǎng)學生的閱讀技巧。 3 情感目標 就學生所熟悉的話題——校服展開討論,容易引起學生的共鳴。老師可鼓勵學生發(fā)表更多對于校服的看法,豐富這一主題。 (三)教學方法 采用任務型教學法組織教學,通過聽說,討論等具體活動,達到教學效果。 (四)重點和難點 詞匯學習 1) 核心詞匯 l uniform l promote l comment l affect l complain l positive 2) 拓展詞匯 l discipline l drop l elementary l dramatically l characteristics l monotonous l plus 3) 詞組和短語 l public schools l the first … to do so l drop by 40% l academic performance l inner characteristics l rather than 二、 教學設計(Teaching Designs) 教學內(nèi)容 教學實施建議 教學資源參考 Pre-reading 征求學生意見,鼓勵學生發(fā)表對校服的看法??蓪W生分成兩個組——喜歡穿校服的和不喜歡的。要求每一大組的學生討論以下幾個方面的問題: l 喜歡校服的理由 l 或不喜歡校服的理由(要求盡可能詳盡) l 提出對自己現(xiàn)有校服的改進建議(學生可參考互聯(lián)網(wǎng)上各種學生校服的設計,選擇適合自己的款式) 圖片網(wǎng)址請見[鏈接1] 《牛津英語教學參考》S2A While-reading 這是本課的主體部分,也是老師要處理的重點,既要引導學生學習重點詞匯和句型,又要提高學生的閱讀理解能力,培養(yǎng)學生的閱讀技巧。 l 要求學生帶著教師事先所給問題快速通讀全文,了解文章大意。 l 培養(yǎng)學生理解能力。在閱讀的過程中,要求學生根據(jù)上下文,推測新單詞的詞意。完成課本P34-35 練習A1和A2。 Post-reading 這是課文的拓展部分。要求學生結合自己的觀點和課文的觀點,綜合全面地分析學生穿校服這一校規(guī)的利弊。然后寫一篇文章:The Advantages and Disadvantages of School Uniform 關于補充閱讀部分的教案請見[鏈接2] [鏈接1] 說明: 各種校服款式的圖片網(wǎng)址。 http://www.fotosearch.com/photos-images/?school-uniform.html [鏈接2] 說明: 閱讀部分建議采用任務型閱讀教學的方法,提高學生閱讀理解能力,培養(yǎng)學生的閱讀技巧。以下是一份教案。 Teaching procedures I. Pre-reading The teacher divides the students into 2 groups according to their attitude towards the school uniforms they wear. l Students are asked to answer the following questions: 1. The reasons why they like/dislike their school uniforms. 2. If there is an opportunity for them to improve the design of the uniform, what suggestions might they provide? (They may refer to the website: http://www.fotosearch.com/photos-images/?school-uniform.html ) l Students choose their group leaders and present their ideas. II. While-reading After they have given their own ideas, students are required to find out information about school uniform in the text. While reading the passage, they should pay special attention to details and complete the following task. l Fill in the form according to the content: Names Jobs Positive opinions Negative opinions Mr. Clinton Ms. Linda Moore Nick Duran Some students l True or False exercise: 1) It was not until Mr Clinton praised student uniforms that students at Rogers Middle School started wearing them. 2) All the students in Long Beach district are wearing school uniforms. 3) The uniform of Rogers school includes black trousers, white coats, and red jackets or sweaters. 4) This passage is most probably taken from a magazine. 5) School uniforms have proved quite effective in helping reducing school violence. l Word study 1. Replace the underlined parts by using the words or phrases from the text. 1) Mr Clinton thought highly of student uniforms. 2) Most students wear uniform fashion nowadays. 3) The Long Beach district is doing something that is effective. 4) Violence and discipline problems have decreased rapidly since the policy was introduced. 5) Some students complain that the uniform dress is dull and uninteresting, but many see a good side. 6) “People judge you on your inner quality, not what you wear.” said Nick Duran, “Furthermore,” he said, “it’s easier to choose what to put on in the morning. 7) Since students started wearing uniforms, their marks at most subjects have improved.
