Topic : What s the matter?
Language goal : In this unit, students learn to talk about health and give advice.
New Ian guage:
1. The parts of the body.
2. What s the matter? I have a
headache/stomachache/toothache/sore throat .
Teachi ng aid : Tape-recorder.

Period : the first period.
Teachi ng procedure:
Step1: Prese ntati on
1. Say hello to the students. Then ask the students: How
many parts of the body can you n ame? Help the stude nts
to answer by pointing to the head, the hand, the leg and the foot.
2. Using the word cards to
3、teach the new words, eg: Take
out the word card of “arm ” . Point to my arm, and say:
This is my arm. Then write the word on the blackboard and read them loudly.
3. Get the students to read the words in pairs. Practice
the words like this:
51: (Point to his head) What s this?
52: It s your
4、head. Where s your ear?
53: It s here. (Point to the ear)
Step 2: 1a
1. Ask students to look at the pictures of the students
numbered 1 through 5. Several body parts are marked with the letters a-m. Write the correct letter after the name of each body part on the list.
2. Point out the sample

3. Ask students to complete the activity individually.

5. Use the word cards to consolidate the new words. Ask the students to read the words and point to the part of the body.

3. Play the recording twice and find the correct answers.
Step5: 1c Pairwork.
1. Point out the sample conversation in the box. Ask two stude nts to read it to the class.
2. Say, now work with a partner. Make your own
con versati ons about the pictures.

4. Ask several students to present their dialogues.

Section A第一課時(shí)的一篇教案。本人認(rèn)為這篇教案的特色在以
個(gè)方面:
一、充分利用自身的感觀和單詞卡片學(xué)習(xí)本課的新單詞。 這
些關(guān)于人體各個(gè)組成部分的新單詞通過學(xué)生親自的觸摸和體驗(yàn), 更容
易讓他們接受。通過單詞卡片,先讓學(xué)生了解和掌握新詞。 在學(xué)習(xí)完

了 1a的內(nèi)容后,再通過這些卡片進(jìn)行鞏固。比如說: 出示“ eye”
這個(gè)單詞卡片。讓學(xué)生找出這個(gè)單詞在哪個(gè)部位。
這樣的單詞學(xué)習(xí),學(xué)生學(xué)起來不會(huì)那么枯燥無味,而且記得牢。
二、開展合作學(xué)習(xí),同桌進(jìn)行結(jié)對(duì)活動(dòng)。通過這兩種方式,
讓學(xué)生掌握本課的語言結(jié)構(gòu)。 在這個(gè)過程中,教師起著一種引導(dǎo)
作用。例:在學(xué)習(xí)關(guān)于ill ness這個(gè)話題時(shí),教師先模仿一種疾 病 headache.然后告訴學(xué)生:“I have a headache. ”再引導(dǎo)學(xué) 生對(duì)這個(gè) 語言結(jié)構(gòu)進(jìn)行合作學(xué)習(xí), 一問一答。然后再讓學(xué)生展示
這段對(duì)話。
在設(shè)計(jì)教學(xué)過程中,充分體現(xiàn)以學(xué)生為主體,教師在這一活 動(dòng)中
起著一種引導(dǎo)者的作用的教學(xué)理念。 并且讓學(xué)生主動(dòng)、積極
地參與這個(gè)教學(xué)過程。在實(shí)踐中體驗(yàn)學(xué)習(xí)英語的快樂。 同時(shí)這篇
教案在設(shè)計(jì)上也存在一些問題,希望各位多多指點(diǎn)。
