Unit 5 Good manners 單元語法專練 enoughto的用法 1.“be+adj.+enough+to do” 結(jié)構(gòu)常用來描述一個人的品質(zhì)或能力。該結(jié)構(gòu)可以與so...that...句型互換。例如: He is strong enough to carry the heavy stone.=He is so strong that he can carry the heavy stone.他夠強壯,以至于能搬起這塊很重的石頭。 2.enough在句中可以作狀語、定語和表語。例如: The house is not big enough for us.這房子對我們來說不夠大。(作狀語) Have you got enough money?你有足夠的錢嗎?(作定語) Six bottles should be enough.六瓶應(yīng)該夠了。(作表語) too...to的用法 1.too...to意為“太……而不能……”,該結(jié)構(gòu)表示具有否定意義的結(jié)果,否定意義是從too(太,過于)開始的。too后接形容詞或副詞表示否定的原因,后面的“to+動詞原形”表示否定的內(nèi)容。例如: Thegirlistootiredtowalk.這個女孩太累了,走不動了。 2.too...to結(jié)構(gòu)以肯定的形式表達(dá)了否定的意義,以簡單句的結(jié)構(gòu)表達(dá)了復(fù)合句的內(nèi)容,這個結(jié)構(gòu)可轉(zhuǎn)換為so...that...句型,也可以用反義的形容詞轉(zhuǎn)換為enough to結(jié)構(gòu)。例如: Theroomistoosmalltoholdsomanypeople. →Theroomissosmallthatitcan’tholdsomanypeople. →Theroomisn’tbigenoughtoholdsomanypeople.這個房間太小了,容納不下這么多人。 3.too...to結(jié)構(gòu)中,too后的形容詞若修飾單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞,需要加不定冠詞a/an,放在形容詞之后,名詞之前。例如: That’stoosmallabagtoholdallthesebooks.那個書包太小了,裝不下所有這些書。 4.too...to結(jié)構(gòu)中不定式前可加邏輯主語,表示動作的執(zhí)行者,常由for引出。例如: TheMathsproblemistoohardforthemtoworkout.這個數(shù)學(xué)題太難了,他們算不出來。 5.too...to結(jié)構(gòu)和否定詞never或not一起使用時,并不表示否定意義。例如: Oneisnevertoooldtolearn.活到老,學(xué)到老。 Ⅰ.單項填空 (B)1.He ate　　　　just now.He is　　　　and can’t eat any more. Simon’s grandfather is　so　　old　that he can’t drive a car. 5.Suzy was so young that she couldn’t understand such a thing. Suzy was　too　young　to　understand such a thing.
