Let’s make a year book for our class. II.Teaching materials : tape recorder ; some cards III.Teaching steps : Step 1 Warm-up/ Review Sing a song “ Thank You, Mom.” Greeting. T: Oh, you are now in Grade Six. You’ll go to a middle school in September. And Sally will go to a middle school, too. She will go back to New York. So Want Tao and his classmates are going to have a farewell party. Step 2 Learn to say Address---We can put our names, addresses and telephone numbers in the book. Invite her parents, make a CD, make a year book, take a photo. Step 3 Practice Ask the Ss to look and say with the teacher Divide the Ss into two groups to act out the two dialogs Ask two Ss to act out the dialogs for some times . Step 4 Look and say Listen to the tape & look at the English books and point to the pictures. Listen to the tape again & repeat. Step 5 Ask and answer What’s his name? How old is he? When is his birthday? What’s his telephone number? … Step 6 Homework Listen to the tape & repeat for some times . Sports Day, in the race---Peter and Wang Tao were in the race. A big dinner---Thanksgiving Dinner. Step 2 Learn to say Remember, three years age, before. Three years age, last year, before Sports Day… Step 3 Practice Ask the Ss to look and say with the teacher Divide the Ss into two groups to act out the two dialogs Ask two Ss to act out the dialogs for some times .
