1 It taught me the most __1__ lesson over the years of my teaching career, and Im thankful that it came __2_(early)__ and positively. A small kindness can indeed make a difference. 1.A.difficult B.painful C.valuable D.enjoyable 文中的最后一句“A small kindness can indeed make a difference.” 2 So when Simons mother entered the room, my palms (手掌心) were sweating. I was completely __1__ for her kisses on both my cheeks. “I came to thank you,” she said, surprising me beyond speech. __2_(Because_of)__ me, Simon had become a different person. 1.A.desperate B.responsible C.unprepared D.unsuitable 3 I love how people __1_(can)__ seem so different, but end up being so __2__. The most valuable lesson I gained from studying in France wasnt just to respect the French people __3_(but)__ to respect all people, for your next best friend could be just a continent away. 2.A.generous B.independent C.similar D.distant 4 A bigger cause of my new __1_(attitude)__, however, came when I took a parttime job at Vista Nursing Home. One old lady there who had Alzheimers disease became my __2_(friend)__. Every time I came into her room, she was so __3_(happy)__ because she thought I was her daughter. Her real daughter never __4_(visited)__ her, so I took her place. She let me __5_(see)__ that making others feel good made me feel good too. When she died, I was __6_(heartbroken)__,but I was also very grateful to her. I think I am a much __7__ person today than I used to be, and I hope I will not __8_(forget)__ these experiences. 7.A.quieter B.busier C.better D.richer 根據(jù)“A bigger cause of my new__1_(attitude)__,however, came when I took a parttime job at Vista Nursing Home.” Where do you go when you want to learn something?
