Indicating something which is always true. (e.g. scientific facts ) The sun rises in the east. Indicating action planned in the future (e.g. go, come,arrive,leave,start,begin) The train leaves at 2:30 pm. the Present Continuous Tense Usage Example Indicating that something is taking place at this moment All the students in my class are doing their homework. Indicating that something is taking place in this period of time. (e.g. this month, this term, this year ) We are studying Japanese this semester. Indicating action which takes place in the near future.(arrive, begin, come, go, leave, start, stay) They are going on a holiday in a week. Indicating repeated and habitual action, including feelings of complaint, praise, boredom etc. She is always thinking of herself. Ш Practice 1. Tom and his father __________(swim)now. 2. Look!
